The Children's Aid's Adult Education Program at the Salome Urena Campus offers classes in English as a Second Language (ESOL) Levels I - III and social‑emotional learning (SEL). The program runs in two cycles—September to January and February to the end of May. Classes meet twice a week from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The ESOL Instructor is responsible for delivering high‑quality English language instruction to non‑native English speakers, with a focus on fostering language development, academic progress, and cultural integration. The instructor designs and implements engaging lessons aligned with New York State standards and students’ language proficiency levels, using a variety of teaching methods to support diverse learning styles.
