The BCS Education Center provides adult education services to the Brooklyn community, serving approximately 500 students annually through GED preparation, ESOL instruction, and vocational training. The ESOL Lead Instructor is a senior instructional leadership role at the heart of BCS's ESOL program. The position carries a direct teaching load of approximately 16 contact hours per week across multiple ESOL levels, combined with responsibility for supervising part‑time ESOL instructors and owning student outcomes across the program. This is not primarily an administrative role — it is a role for an experienced educator who wants to lead instruction, develop other teachers, and make a measurable difference in students' lives. The Lead Instructor’s focus is on what happens in the classroom and whether students are enrolling, persisting, progressing, and succeeding. This is a full‑time, in‑person role based at our Education Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and the Lead Instructor will be expected to adapt as program needs evolve.
