Children's Aid is seeking an ESOL Instructor for its Adult Education Program based in New York. The role involves delivering high-quality English language instruction to non-native speakers and designing engaging lessons aligned with New York State standards.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related subject and at least two years of teaching experience, ideally in English as a Second Language. This position offers flexible scheduling to meet the department's needs.
The Children’s Aid’s Adult Education Program at the Salome Urena Campus offers classes in English as a Second Language (ESOL) Levels I–III and social‑emotional learning (SEL). The program is offered in two cycles (September–January and February–May), with classes meeting twice a week from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The ESOL Instructor is responsible for delivering high‑quality English language instruction to non‑native speakers, fostering language development, academic progress, and cultural integration. The instructor designs and implements engaging lessons aligned with New York State standards and student language proficiency levels, using a variety of teaching methods to support diverse learning styles.
$30.00 – $35.00 per hour
