Indiana University Health, Inc. seeks a Unit Secretary to support nursing teams in patient care areas. You will perform direct patient care duties under a Clinical Nurse, assist with unit clerical tasks and maintain a safe, clean environment.

You will also aid physicians, patients, families, and vendors with directions and information. The role may include scheduling tests, maintaining patient records, signing in/out, ordering and delivering equipment, and providing continuous observation as

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; CPR may be required to complete Unit Secretary training.
• Requires previous acute patient care experience or completion of IU Health PCA education program.
• Requires current Basic Life Support certification (AHA) or completion of IU Health PCA program; other advanced life support may be required by unit.
• Requires basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Requires knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.
• Requires knowledge of infection control principles.
• Requires basic computer skills.
