Job summary

RSU #22 & RIVERSIDE ADULT EDUCATION is seeking a part-time Adult Education Learning Lab Instructor to support HiSET candidates and diploma students, approximately 10 hours per week. Teaching will occur on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with opportunities for flex and remote duties; instruction may be virtual, face-to-face, or hybrid.

The program offers a competitive hourly rate and a budget for materials and academic resources.

Qualifications

• Requires Maine DOE secondary certification in a core content area.
• Ability to design curriculum aligned with College and Career Readiness Standards.
• Instruct remotely as needed and adapt to hybrid/remote delivery.

Responsibilities

• Instruct HiSET candidates and diploma students.

Job Description

Riverside Adult Education is looking for a part-time (10 hours + weekly) secondary level certified instructor to support HiSET candidates and diploma students.

Instruction includes teaching Tuesday and Thursday evenings with some opportunities for flex, scheduling and remote duties. There is potential for more hours and an expanded scope of responsibilities.

These academic services may be virtual, face-to-face, or hybrid as needed. We offer a competitive hourly rate and a budget for materials and academic resources.

This instructor may support students earning online diploma credits, an independent course credit, or preparing for the HiSET exam.

Requirements

• Maine DOE secondary certification in a core content area
• Willing and able to instruct remotely as requested
• Able to design curriculum aligned with the College and Career Readiness Standards (training provided).
