Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiograms, including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler and transesophageal exams, under supervision in a high-volume cardiovascular lab.

Requirements include RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI, BLS certification, an associate degree in echocardiography or equivalent training, and hospital experience. Proficiency with Philips systems and Epic is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or accredited echo training program preferred
• High School Diploma and/or GED
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required
• Experience with Philips ie33 and EPIQ equipment and TEE probes; Epic preferred

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates universal precautions.
• Performs echocardiograms (2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, pulse wave Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, TEE, stress echo).
• Completes forms/records/logs for billing and QA.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physician review.
• Interacts professionally with peers, physicians and patients.
