Trinity Services, Inc. in Lockport, IL is seeking a Day Treatment Counselor to join a multidisciplinary team serving adults with severe and chronic mental illness.

You will facilitate group sessions, provide individual counseling, and implement treatment plans using evidence-based practices such as DBT, ACT, and FAP. The role includes maintaining a caseload, collaborating with the Day Program Director and team to support clients, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in counseling psychology, social work, or another human service-related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of individual clients with regularly scheduled sessions.
• Direct treatment for assigned clients, collaborating with the PSR Director to apply evidence-based interventions.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Contextual Behavior Therapy principles.
• Conduct regularly scheduled group sessions and organize community outings.
• Submit service documentation promptly and accurately.
• Maintain awareness of the program milieu and intervene using evidence-based methods.
• Interact effectively with clients to foster a therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to cover essential functions.
• Participate in case staffing and PSR staff meetings.
• Collaborate with residential staff and Supportive Employment to help clients achieve goals.
