or B.S. in Pharmacy, NC pharmacist license in good standing, immunization certification, and credentialing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
• Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice.
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
• Use patient education techniques to provide counseling on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, and administration.
• Design, monitor and evaluate patient-specific regimens based on literature; implement using policies and proper documentation.
• Review and interpret medication orders and prescriptions accurately.
• Participate in management of medical emergencies when applicable.
• Support medication safety and quality improvement activities, including reporting of events.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage formulary adherence and medication-use processes.
• Prepare, dispense, and oversee proper storage and handling of medications; serve as preceptor for students and residents.
