Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pediatrics Pharmacist for the Wake Forest Winston Campus to provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients. The role includes education, collaborative care, and participation in research to improve outcomes in critical care settings.

You will mentor residents, participate in drug therapy management, and help implement treatment protocols while ensuring compliance with state and hospital regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
• Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required depending on area of practice.
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care and evaluates biomedical literature to design medication therapy regimens.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, and proper use.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on literature and hospital policies.
• Reviews medication orders and participates in medical emergencies when applicable.
• Supports medication safety and quality improvement within the department.
