Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Principal Engineer for Ads to set architectural direction and drive long-term technical strategy across the organization. This role couples hands-on coding with director-level scope and cross-functional alignment with ML, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams.

You will shape patterns and standards for large-scale distributed systems and mentor engineers to raise technical excellence across the Ads org.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of industry experience leading large-scale platform initiatives.
• Experience with ads, commerce, or marketplace platforms.
• Ability to drive multi-year technical roadmaps with hands-on involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead at scale, providing architectural vision across the Ads stack.
• Influence ML, Infrastructure, Product, Data Science, and partner teams.
• Shape engineering culture with patterns, principles, and standards.
