Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc in Central Florida seeks a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support long-term care facilities. You will restock, deliver, and verify medications, communicate with clients and pharmacy staff, and use Pyxis/Omnicell systems.

The role requires a high school diploma, Florida license preferred, and valid driver's license with reliable transport. You will perform data entry, assist with billing, and travel between facilities for monthly cycles.

Qualifications

  • Must be local to Central Florida area.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensed FL Pharmacy Technician preferred.
  • Previous pharmacy experience required, long-term care preferred.
  • Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.
  • Able to troubleshoot ADS problems and use multiple programs efficiently.
  • Good organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Basic math and analytical abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Willing to drive long distances in Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Able to work independently under supervision direction.
  • Deliver medication restocks directly to skilled nursing facilities.
  • Maintain active communication with client facilities and pharmacy staff.
  • Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
  • Maintain ADS information (quantity and expiration dates).
  • Identify and address discrepancies for proper billing.
  • Replace expiring inventory and restock depleted stock.
  • Monthly audits (cycle count).
  • Provide reports for facilities.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
  • Replace potentially expiring inventory.
  • Restock depleted inventory.
  • Monthly audits (cycle count).
  • Provide reports for the facility.
  • Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications

  • Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred).
  • Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.
  • Able to use various programs and applications efficiently and able to troubleshoot ADS problems.
  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to physically perform light lifting.
  • A valid driver’s license & car insurance and reliable transportation required.
  • Willing to drive long distances in the State of Florida.
Shift
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Mileage Reimbursement
  • Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between facilities.
