Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. in Central Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support long-term care facilities by restocking medications, performing ADS related tasks, and maintaining accurate records.

You will work under supervision, travel between facilities, and ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, Florida Pharmacy Technician license preferred, and experience with Pyxis/Omnicell ADS, data entry, and driving long distances within Florida.

Qualifications

• Must be local to Central Florida area.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed FL Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred).
• Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.
• Able to use various programs and applications efficiently and able to troubleshoot ADS problems.
• Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
• A valid driver’s license & car insurance and reliable transportation required.
• Willing to drive long distances in the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Able to work independently under the direction of a supervisor
• Deliver medication restocks directly to skilled nursing home facilities
• Maintain active communication with client facility and pharmacy staff
• Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter)
• Maintain accurate information at each ADS (Automated Dispensing System) (quantity and expiration date)
• Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing
• Replace potentially expiring inventory
• Restock depleted inventory
• Monthly audits (cycle count)
• Provide reports for the facility
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor
