Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a local Pharmacy Technician to support long-term care facilities in Central Florida. You will deliver restocks, maintain ADS data, and communicate with facility staff to ensure accurate billing and inventory control.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, Florida technician license (preferred), and at least one year in long-term care. You may drive across Florida and receive mileage reimbursement for facility travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active FL Pharmacy Technician license preferred.
• One year of experience in long-term care.
• Experience with ADS (Pyxis, Omnicell) and data entry.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medication restocks directly to skilled nursing home facilities.
• Maintain active communication with client facility and pharmacy staff.
• Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
• Maintain accurate information at each ADS (quantity and expiration date).
• Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
• Replace potentially expiring inventory and restock depleted stock.
• Conduct monthly audits (cycle counts).
• Provide reports for the facility.
• Complete any tasks assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Able to work independently under the direction of a supervisor.
• Deliver medication restocks directly to skilled nursing home facilities.
• Maintain active communication with client facility and pharmacy staff.
• Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
• Maintain accurate information at each ADS (Automated Dispensing System) (quantity and expiration date).
• Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
• Replace potentially expiring inventory.
• Restock depleted inventory.
• Monthly audits (cycle count).
• Provide reports for the facility.
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Important: Must be local to Central Florida area.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed FL Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred).
• Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.
• Able to use various programs and applications efficiently and able to troubleshoot ADS problems.
• Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
• A valid driver’s license & car insurance and reliable transportation required.
• Willing to drive long distances in the State of Florida.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Mileage Reimbursement:

• Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between facilities.
