Lockheed Martin, based in Marietta, GA, invites a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Skunk Works® and connect design with production for tomorrow’s aircraft. The role emphasizes independence on the factory floor, critical decision‑making, and driving improvements in a high‑tech aerospace environment.

You will coordinate with design engineers and production teams, operating on 2nd shift (M-Th 4pm–2:30am).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering preferred).
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high‑tech hardware.
• Technical lead on design reviews, process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance per business requirements

As a Manufacturing Engineer in Skunk Works®, you will play a critical role as liaison between our design engineering teams and the production team responsible for building tomorrow’s future in an advanced manufacturing and technology facility.

This position involves working 2nd shift (M-Th 4pm – 2:30am) with the ability to operate independently on the factory floor, making critical decisions and driving initiatives with minimal day‑to‑day supervision.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high‑tech hardware.
• Technical lead on design reviews, process improvement initiatives.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or coursework in Model-Based Engineering (MBE) or Systems Engineering.
• 5-8 years of professional experience related to role.
• Influencing decisions without formal authority
• Understanding of the Systems Engineering V‑Model, requirements flow-down, and verification & validation (V&V) processes.

Pay Information

Full‑Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
