Job summary

G-III Apparel Group is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join the Finance, Payroll team on-site in Manhattan. This role supports weekly and biweekly payroll processing, time and attendance, and payroll record maintenance while handling confidential information with discretion.

You will assist with ADP Lyric or similar systems, review timecards, maintain records, respond to routine inquiries, and help with data entry and filing.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of payroll, timekeeping, accounting, or related administrative experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of payroll processes and best practices.
• Experience with ADP Lyric or another payroll/time and attendance system preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist Payroll team members with accurate and timely processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls using ADP Lyric.
• Review timecards for exceptions, missing or incorrect entries, and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate employee time and attendance records within the payroll system.
• Process employee time-off requests accurately and in accordance with company policies.
• Respond to routine employee payroll and timekeeping inquiries in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex issues as needed.
