Job summary

Brightpoint invites applicants for the role of Adoption Support & Preservation Therapist to provide in-home, community-based, and in-office services to families with children who have been adopted or received guardianship through the Illinois DFCS. The position emphasizes trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapy, case management, advocacy, and collaboration with partners to support treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a closely related clinical field is required.
• Eligible for clinical licensure in Illinois (LCSW, LCPC or LMFT) and must obtain and maintain IL license within 24 months.
• Obtains and maintains certifications as required by program model or funder (e.g., DV training, Trauma-Informed modalities) within one year.
• Experience with evidence-based or evidence-informed modality (e.g., Theraplay, ARC) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle are required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home, community-based, and in-office services to families with adopted children or guardianship cases.
• Deliver trauma-informed, attachment-focused services (individual, family, and group therapy) and coordinate with other providers.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with families; coordinate referrals and documentation.
• Complete thorough documentation using the agency’s client services platform and participate in agency trainings.
