Job summary

Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley, MN is seeking an Adoption Services Specialist to deliver a warm, informative visitor experience and guide families through pet adoptions. This full-time position supports humane animal welfare and education within our adoption center.

You will greet guests, assist with visits and adoptions, manage records and payments, and help maintain a clean, safe adoption area. Weekend availability is required, and a passion for animals is essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service, sales, and animal handling experience preferred.
• Proficient with computers, especially Microsoft products.
• Must be able to lift and handle animals up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and respond to animal inquiries.
• Assist visitors with animal visitations and adoptions.
• Explain the adoption process and complete transactions.
• Maintain records and assist with merchandise sales.
• Ensure a clean, safe adoption area and note needs.
