Job summary

Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) seeks a Child Welfare Services Administrator in Marietta to lead Adoption Supervisors and support permanency goals for children ready for adoption. You will partner with county and regional leaders to strengthen adoption outcomes and collaborate with agencies and courts to accelerate approvals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with supervisory experience and deep knowledge of adoption processes, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area and two years of supervisory experience in a human service delivery program.
• Knowledge of adoption operations, processes, and policies.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess the effectiveness of Adoption processes and protocols to ensure outcome measures are achieved.
• Create and maintain positive working relationships with judicial stakeholders to facilitate timely permanency goals.
• Build a cooperative team-oriented environment within adoption and permanency units.
• Direct administrative activities for groups of social service employees assigned to the Adoption Unit.
• Collaborate with Regional and State Adoption teams to recruit placement options for all children in Region 13.
• Coordinate with providers and community partners via Placement Resource Engagement Meetings to support caregivers.
