Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or related field required.
• One year of experience working with children and families preferred.
• Knowledge of case management, child welfare system and adoption issues including attachment and grief.
• Demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive for organization business.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective adoptive/guardianship families through file mining, family finding, intense recruiting efforts, and community education.
• Provide adoption recruitment services to achieve permanency for children/youth with emotional, behavioral, trauma and cognitive needs.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team connected to the child.
• Prepare the youth and families for potential adoption/guardianship.
• Advocate for the children/youth by ensuring needs are met through education and non-crisis support.
• Facilitate communication between biological and adoptive/guardianship families.
• Have face-to-face contact with the child monthly, with professionals and family.
• Complete quarterly written reports for each child on caseload.
• Adhere to the WWK Child Focused Recruitment Model.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
