Job summary

East Bay SPCA in Dublin, CA seeks an Animal Pathway Coordinator to oversee intake, care, and placement of animals. You will assess behavior and medical needs, provide compassionate public service, and support adoptions through matchmaking and client engagement.

The role involves daily animal husbandry, shelter operations support, and collaboration with the Behavior and Training Department. A strong commitment to humane treatment and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of domestic animal care, behavior, housing, and health issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service oriented.
• Fear Free knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily animal husbandry: diet prep, feeding, cleaning, housebreaking.
• Lead dog playgroups and implement training plans.
• Conduct initial physical exams and behavior evaluations for incoming animals.
• Maintain animal records (paper and electronic) accurately.
• Provide adoption counseling and assist with adoptions, returns and surrenders.
