Job summary

MSPCA-Angell is seeking an Intake and Pathways Coordinator to work with operations, clinic, and behavior teams to coordinate the intake and movement of shelter animals, ensuring humane pathways and timely medical, behavioral, foster, transfer, and adoption outcomes.

This full-time role requires coordinating transfers, leading cross-functional collaboration, applying fear-free intake practices, and maintaining accurate records while upholding the organization’s compassion and excellence.

Qualifications

• My Fear Free Certification must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an animal shelter or equivalent field.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake processes and staff training using fear-free techniques.
• Track animal flow and reduce length of stay with case planning and strategy.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration between shelter, clinic, and behavior teams.
• Oversee transfers and drive adoption promotion via marketing and social media.
• Ensure high standards of animal care, sanitation, and compliance.
