Job summary

MSPCA-Angell in Methuen, MA seeks an Intake and Pathways Coordinator to streamline animal intake and transfers across shelter and partner organizations. The role collaborates with operations, clinic, and behavior teams to ensure humane pathways and timely medical and behavioral care.

Responsibilities include overseeing intake processes, staff training, and inter-shelter transfers, while driving adoption campaigns and maintaining care standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with staff, volunteers, and the public.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced shelter.
• Decision-making for animal placement, care and pathways.
• Coordinate projects and workflows across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor intake processes and pathways for animals.
• Track LOS and case trends, contributing to strategy discussions.
• Liaise between shelter, clinic, and behavior teams to ensure timely care.
• Facilitate exams and vaccinations using fear-free approaches; train staff.
• Coordinate inter-shelter transfers and lead adoption promotion efforts.
• Maintain high standards of care, records, sanitation and protocols.
