Job summary

River Point Behavioral Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing services and ensure high-quality patient care. The ADON develops policies, coordinates interdisciplinary care, and supports administration in evaluating procedures.

A BSN or BS is preferred, with at least two years of psychiatric experience and current FL RN licensure or compact-state license.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or BS preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of psychiatric experience; recent management/administrative experience preferred.
• Age-specific competencies: Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric.
• Licensure: Current FL RN license or compact state license; CPR and Handle with Care certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop department goals, standards of performance, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and monitor unit functioning; initiate problem solving as needed.
• Serve as DON designee and ensure best practice standards are adhered to at all times.
• Collaborate with House Supervisors and nursing staff to discuss concerns and improve patient care.
