Job summary

River Falls Post Acute in Marietta, SC, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON, RN) for a full-time role with a $65,000–$85,000/year salary. The ADON will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring quality resident care, and guiding nursing staff across shifts.

The position requires an active SC RN license, BSN preferred, and 3–5 years of nurse management experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in South Carolina in good standing.
• BSN preferred.
• 3–5 years of nurse management experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of nursing regulations, survey readiness, and clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and supervising nursing services.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of nursing staff.
• Assist with employee coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action processes.
• Serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership to licensed nurses and nursing assistants.
• Act as a backup to the Director of Nursing as needed.
• Conduct daily rounds and monitor resident conditions and care delivery.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of care.
• Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Conduct and support ongoing staff education and in-service programs.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and employee information.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and communicate updates to staff as needed
