Rio Hondo Subacute and Nursing Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead our nursing services team and work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

The role focuses on supporting best practices for care delivery, developing care objectives, and guaranteeing optimal outcomes for residents in a compassionate, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Graduation from an approved RN program.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the state.
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to long-term care settings.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Previous experience as an ADON, RN Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the leadership and supervision of nursing services and staff to ensure compliance with all regulations and quality care standards.
• Supporting the DON in developing and revising care plans and nursing practices to ensure the highest level of care is maintained.
• Providing training and guidance to nursing staff in accordance with company policies and best practices.
• Participating in the coordination of care and overseeing daily nursing operations.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care.
• Promoting and maintaining a culture of safety and quality care throughout the facility.
