Job summary
Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in managing daily operations of the nursing department and ensuring high-quality resident care.
The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with infection prevention experience and proven supervisory ability in skilled nursing or similar settings, ready to lead staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality improvement.
Qualifications
- Must possess a current, active RN license in Florida.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Prior Infection Prevention experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
- Minimum 6 months in rehabilitative/restorative nursing practices.
- Strong knowledge of nursing standards, regulatory requirements, QA, and resident care practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with physicians, residents, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing daily nursing operations.
- Develop and implement nursing department policies and standards of practice.
- Ensure staff follow job descriptions, policies, and regulations.
- Conduct daily nursing rounds and monitor resident care quality.
- Review documentation to reflect residents' needs and responses.
- Monitor medication passes and treatments as ordered.
- Report incidents per facility procedures.
- Participate in QA/QM and regulatory surveys.
