Job summary

Fair Havens Center in Miami Springs, FL, is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our nursing management team. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the ADON will help manage the Nursing department in line with policies and government regulations while ensuring quality resident care.

The role requires a Florida RN license, LTC management experience, and strong teamwork, delegation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current FL Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Experience in nursing management in a long term care environment.
• Ability to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
• Regular attendance and ability to report to work as necessary.
• Ability to delegate assignments based on skills and roles.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff.

We are skilled nursing facility located in Miami Springs, FL and are now recruiting a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to become part of our nursing management team. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the ADON will assist with managing the overall operation of the Nursing department in accordance with company policies and procedures, standards of nursing practices and in compliance with government regulations while ensuring that quality resident care is provided to our residents in an efficient manner.

Job Requirements

• Current FL Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Must be experienced in nursing management in a long term care environment
• Demonstrated ability to work responsibly as part of an inter-disciplinary team
• Capable of regular attendance and to report to work as necessary
• Ability to delegate job assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles and interests
• Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with residents, family members and other staff members
• Must be able to communicate orally and in writing effectively with residents and staff members
• Perform other duties as needed or as assigned
• Physical and sensory requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices): walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling
• Must be able to meet all health requirements and pass Level II background check
