Job summary

Sycamore Heights is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing in leading daily operations and ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care at our long-term care facility in Louisville, KY.

The ADON will mentor staff, lead regulatory compliance efforts, oversee infection control, and participate in staffing, education, and quality improvement initiatives to advance resident outcomes and staff development.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Kentucky
• 2+ years in Long-Term Care
• 2+ years of management experience preferred
• 1 year staff education experience preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and mentor team members

Responsibilities

• Participate in an on-call schedule as needed.
• Oversee daily clinical operations and support nursing team to deliver high-quality care.
• Coordinate Infection Control Program and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Provide ongoing staff education and in-services to enhance clinical skills.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and quality assurance across the facility.
• Coordinate and direct planning and delivery of nursing services.
• Oversee documentation and medical records accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff.
• Manage daily staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and workload balance.
• Foster a positive, flexible work environment and collaborate with the Director of Nursing.
