Medicalodges, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our 100% employee-owned organization. The role collaborates with the Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations and provide high-quality care to residents.

The ADON will assist in hiring, scheduling, supervising nursing staff, and implementing clinical performance improvement plans across shifts. Strong RN licensure and communication skills are required, with sound judgment in patient care decisions.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and make sound nursing decisions within scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, make administrative and nursing decisions based on current nursing standards, medical knowledge, and sound judgment regarding the care and treatment of residents and nursing staff.
• Assist in the selection and hiring, evaluation, disciplinary action, and training of nursing personnel.
• Assist and approve work schedules and monitor and coordinate nursing activities of all shifts.
• Supervise, assign and assist in the nursing activities of the direct care staff.
• Develop, implement and document clinical performance improvement plans.
