Job summary
Regency at Westland, a Ciena Healthcare facility in Michigan, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing department. This leader will supervise staff, help ensure regulatory compliance, and drive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction.

Qualifications
- Must hold a state RN license to practice.
- Progressive nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility or related healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Director of Nursing in supervising nursing staff and those under their supervision.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities per organizational policies and laws.
- Interviews, hires, and trains employees.
- Plans, assigns, and directs work and prepares assignment sheets considering resident safety and staff qualifications.
- Manages staff coverage, transfers, and timekeeping corrections as needed.
- Conducts performance evaluations and addresses staff issues, up to discharge when necessary.
