Job summary
The Laurels of Coldwater, part of Ciena Healthcare, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing department. You will supervise nursing staff, help ensure regulatory compliance, and drive clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction.
Ideal candidates hold an RN license with progressive nursing leadership experience in a long-term care setting.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Knowledgeable in state and federal regulations governing long-term care.
- Licensed RN in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing care provided by nursing staff and others under supervision.
- Assist with supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws.
- Interview, hire, and train nursing staff.
- Plan, assign, and direct work; prepare assignment sheets with safety in mind.
- May handle calls and arrange replacements for absent staff.
- Monitor staff performance and discipline as needed.
- Assist with performance evaluations and wage decisions.
- Coordinate staff rotation across units to ensure quality care.
