Forest Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Carlisle, PA is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing in guiding daily operations and mentoring nursing staff.

The ADON ensures regulatory compliance, coordinates interdisciplinary care plans, participates in budgeting for nursing services, and provides leadership during emergencies, all within our family‑like, caring environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Pennsylvania with leadership experience.
• Experience in long-term care settings preferred.
• Strong clinical and managerial skills.
• Willing to work in a team and handle emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing day-to-day nursing operations.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement resident care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care to ensure quality and resident satisfaction.
• Participate in budget planning and management related to nursing services.
• Implement policies and procedures to enhance nursing care delivery.
• Provide leadership and support during emergencies or challenging situations.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care.
• Serve as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical practices and protocols.
