Job summary

EPIC Healthcare in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing the nursing department and ensuring high-quality resident care. The ADON will lead nursing staff, enforce regulatory standards, and coordinate care plans in a collaborative long-term care setting.

The role requires RN licensure in New Jersey, leadership experience, and a strong grasp of state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
• Experience in nursing leadership roles, preferably in long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing home care.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Conduct regular assessments of resident care needs and ensure that care plans are developed and implemented effectively.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident well-being and satisfaction.
• Handle administrative duties as needed, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
