Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help ensure the provision of quality care and the well-being of residents, guided by assessments and care plans. You will assist the Director of Nurses in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations in accordance with facility policies and regulations.

You will coordinate care with physicians and families, manage staffing needs and schedules, supervise nursing staff, and participate in the facility's QA program

Qualifications

• Must have completed an RN program at an accredited vocational school, college, or university.
• Must possess a current Texas RN Licensure.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility for at least 3 years preferred.
• RUG certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Communicate with attending physician and medical director about resident care.
• Communicate with families regarding resident care when appropriate.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff; develop work assignments and schedules; supervise staff to ensure tasks are completed.
