Job summary

Liberty Commons of Johnston County seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee nursing operations at Liberty Health Benson, NC. The ADON coordinates schedules, supervises staff, liaises with physicians, and ensures high-quality patient care compliant with standards.

The ideal candidate holds an active NC RN license, has at least 2 years of nursing experience (preferably in skilled nursing), and is willing to be on-call per rotation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina (NC)
• Two (2) years nursing experience; one (1) year in skilled nursing preferred
• Willing to be on-call per rotation
• Genuine interest in geriatric nursing
• Strong supervisory and decision-making abilities
• Ability to follow procedures and meet regulatory requirements
• Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling nursing personnel
• Visit patients to ensure maximum care and communicate with staff/physicians
• Supervise nursing personnel to maintain care quality
• Serve as liaison for staff nursing and nurse management
• Monitor the Quality Assurance Program
• Assign duties and supervise performance
• Maintain nursing records and treatments
• Act as Infection Control Nurse
• Review weekly decubiti and monthly reports
• Handle disciplinary issues involving nursing staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
