Job summary

Apex-Healthcare is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Lake Worth, FL. This full-time leadership role partners with the Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations and ensure resident care meets CMS standards.

The ADON will supervise nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, support survey readiness, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while maintaining high standards of operation and staff stability.

Qualifications

Florida RN license required (Compact ok).
Minimum 2+ years of ADON experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and DOH survey processes.
Experience supporting survey readiness and compliance.
Proven ability to manage nursing staff in a SNF environment.

Responsibilities

Support daily oversight of nursing operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility.
Ensure compliance with CMS and Florida State DOH regulations.
Assist with survey preparation, regulatory inspections, and plans of correction.
Supervise unit managers, RN supervisors, and nursing staff.
Monitor documentation accuracy, care plans, and infection control standards.
Participate in QAPI initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
Assist with staffing oversight and clinical performance management.
Collaborate with the DON and Administrator on operational stability.
