Eldon Nursing & Rehab in Eldon, Missouri is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team and lead clinical staffing and quality initiatives. This role focuses on optimizing patient care through staff coaching, scheduling, and compliant practice oversight.

The ADON will oversee onboarding, performance evaluations, rounds, and documentation accuracy to maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

• Extensive knowledge of nursing best practices and federal, state and local healthcare laws.

Responsibilities

• Hiring new nurses and overseeing onboarding by training them or assigning trainers.
• Creating schedules to ensure adequate nursing coverage for every shift.
• Coaching nurses to improve performance and handling discipline issues.
• Monitoring expenses to ensure the facility operates within budgetary constraints.
• Holding staff meetings to discuss patient status.
• Conducting employee evaluations that identify nurses' strengths and areas for improvement.
• Making rounds to assess patient status and observe nurses.
• Checking patient records to ensure accuracy and currency.
