Job summary

Emerald Nursing Limited in Omaha, NE seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead the nursing team, coordinate resident care, and partner with the DON to ensure high-quality, compliant services.

This full-time, salaried role supports clinical oversight, staff supervision, on-site operations, and continuous quality improvement in a long-term care setting, with a rotating on-call duty and a schedule from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN with valid Nebraska state license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required; Gerontology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Oversight: assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices and protocols.
• Staff Management: supervise nursing staff and support recruitment, training, and evaluation.
• Resident Care: ensure care plans are followed and address resident/family concerns.
• Regulatory Compliance: stay updated on regulations and participate in inspections.
• Quality Improvement: monitor data and drive improvement initiatives.
• Administrative Duties: maintain nursing policies and documentation; coordinate with other departments.
