Nexus Health is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in Illinois to support the Director of Nursing in daily operations, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff performance. The ADON provides clinical leadership, supervises nursing staff, and helps maintain a safe, efficient, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in long-term care; ADON preferred.
• Active RN license in Illinois and in good standing.
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment (PointClickCare).
• Ability to build rapport with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and delegate nursing activities.
• Evaluate nursing department performance and recommend improvements.
• Conduct patient rounds and address complaints.
• Monitor and train nursing staff.
• Ensure all insurance paperwork for incoming residents is in order.
• Conduct admission assessments of incoming residents.
