Job summary

Arden Park Post Acute seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. Working with the Director of Nursing, you will oversee daily nursing operations, support staff development, and uphold the highest standards of resident care and safety.

The ADON is a key clinical leader responsible for coordinating care, ensuring regulatory compliance, mentoring nurses, and stepping in for the DON when needed, all while maintaining a compassionate, professional nursing

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (CA).
• BSN preferred.
• 3–5 years nursing management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; PCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, and supervising daily nursing operations and staff.
• Support recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and development of nursing personnel.
• Oversee clinical operations, monitor resident conditions, conduct rounds, ensure quality nursing care.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and respect, coordinating with families and physicians.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead staff meetings and ongoing in-services; back-up for DON and nursing staff when necessary.

Arden Park Post Acute is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team! We are looking for a nursing professional who is passionate about providing exceptional resident care, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. As our ADON, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee daily nursing operations, promote resident safety, support staff development, and ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, and supervising daily nursing operations and nursing staff.
• Support the recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and professional development of nursing personnel.
• Assist with employee performance management, staff concerns, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Oversee clinical operations, including monitoring resident conditions, conducting rounds, and ensuring the delivery of quality nursing care.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and respect while ensuring residents receive appropriate care.
• Collaborate with residents, family members, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies, procedures, and clinical practices.
• Conduct staff meetings and ongoing nursing in-services to support professional development and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor nursing practices to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
• Provide direct resident care and serve as backup for the DON and nursing staff when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and employee information.
• Support the DON in identifying opportunities for improvement and maintaining a positive, professional nursing environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• 3-5 years of nursing management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to supervise nursing personnel, manage clinical operations, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with PCC (PointClickCare) preferred.
• Ability to maintain required continuing education and professional licensing requirements.
