Job summary

CASA Fort Wayne Health Care Campus is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing in directing daily operations for the nursing department. You will lead clinical teams, ensure high‑quality resident care, and uphold regulatory standards while fostering a collaborative, supportive environment.

You will mentor nursing staff, oversee scheduling, and participate in care planning to maintain safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with a current Indiana license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Long‑term care or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and support a nursing team.
• A dependable, professional, and team‑first approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily operation of the nursing department.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing employees.
• Help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
• Monitor nursing practices, documentation, and changes in resident condition.
• Support employee scheduling, staffing, orientation, training, and development.
• Assist with infection prevention, quality improvement, and risk‑reduction efforts.
• Participate in resident care planning and communicate with residents, families, and providers.
• Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements.
• Support surveys, audits, investigations, and corrective action plans.
• Step in for the Director of Nursing when needed.
