Job summary

Canyon Ridge Hospital is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Hallway Monitor to join our team. This role provides direct patient care for adolescents with psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders, ensuring safety and a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include reporting concerns to nurses, documenting per protocols, and working with the nursing team to maintain care standards while supporting the recovery process.

Qualifications

• High school level reading and writing skills.
• Availability to work every other weekend.
• Acceptable oral and written communication skills; legible handwriting.
• Ability to maintain information as highly confidential.
• Telephone etiquette and customer service skills by phone and face-to-face.
• Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred.
• Skills in dealing courteously with the public and staff.
• Basic knowledge of human behavior or psychology useful.
• Problem-solving and time management abilities.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.

Canyon Ridge Hospital is currently seeking a Dedicated Behavioral Health Hallway Monitor to join our team.

Canyon Ridge Hospital has serviced the Greater Inland Empire since 1989. Canyon Ridge is a 157-bed acute, locked psychiatric facility offering services to adolescents ages 13-17, adults and older adults.

We believe in an individualized, patient-focused approach to diagnosis and treatment. For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously. In these cases of dual diagnosis, we treat the patients in the best way possible given their specific needs.

The Hallway Monitor is responsible for providing direct patient care to Adolescents diagnosed with psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders; to ensure the safety and well-being of these patients; to support the maintenance of therapeutic milieu. Responsible for maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment, reporting concerns to the nurse, documentation, following program specifications, and risk management. Responsible for providing direct care and performing duties in accordance with hospital policies and procedures in collaboration with the nursing services team.
