Job summary

Skyland Trail in Atlanta is seeking an Adolescent Residential Counselor PRN to provide supervision, education and support to clients in the Adolescent Program. You will document behavior, progress and communicate needs to the clinical team, while aiding with daily living activities and group activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2 years of clinical mental health experience; Masters preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• 2+ years of clinical mental health experience.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Licensed clinician or licensure-eligible preferred.
• CPI certification and crisis management skills.
• Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health diagnoses.
• Strong documentation and emergency procedures knowledge.
• Valid driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, education and support to adolescent clients and staff.
• Monitor, document and report client behavior, progress and needs.
• Lead activities of daily living and socialization groups per curriculum.
• Maintain safety, room checks and clean facilities in accordance with policies.
• Transport and supervise clients for community and medical activities.
• Co-facilitate group therapy and family therapy when requested.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and crisis protocols.
• Complete training hours and maintain required competencies annually.
