Job summary

Skyland Trail, a nonprofit mental health residential program for adolescents in Atlanta, seeks an Adolescent Residential Counselor for 1st shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm).

Provide supervision, discharge readiness, activity guidance, and documentation; coordinate with clinical staff; facilitate groups and safety procedures; monitor and assist with daily living tasks in the adolescent program.

Commitment to trauma-informed care and crisis response is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or two years of clinical experience in mental health.
• Preferred qualifications include Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Education.
• Licensed Clinician, license-eligible or working toward licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to adolescents in the Residential Adolescent Program.
• Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and needs; communicate with clinical team.
• Facilitate groups and client activities; assist with daily living skills.
• Complete incident reports and ensure safety, cleanliness, and room integrity.
