Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Mental Health Tech for Peace Hospital in Louisville. The role supports psychiatric patients in crisis under RN supervision, helping maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and performing vital signs, phlebotomy and documentation as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and preferred 1 year of inpatient psychiatry experience with crisis intervention training. The position is full-time and on-site for night shift coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification (Healthcare Providers) required.
• 1 year inpatient or emergency psychiatry experience preferred.
• Crisis intervention training as determined by facility required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains a therapeutic environment.
• Identifies and manages crisis situations and safety procedures.
• Transports patients and accompanies them during tests/discharge transportation.
• Assists with exams, vitals, phlebotomy and documentation.
• Provides patient care support under RN direction and follows policies.
