UofL Health is seeking a Mental Health Tech for the Peace Hospital unit in Louisville. The selected candidate will assist in patient care under RN supervision, help maintain a safe therapeutic environment, and participate in crisis management and daily activities of living with psychiatric patients.

Required is a High School diploma or GED and CPR certification, with preferred completion of Clinical Assistant/Medical Assistant/EMT training and 1 year of psychiatric inpatient or emergency

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of inpatient or emergency psychiatry experience preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT program preferred.
• CPR certification required; crisis intervention training to be completed.

Mansioni

• Monitors and maintains the therapeutic environment.
• Identifies and manages crisis situations.
• Transports patients and accompanies them during tests and discharge.
• Performs vital signs, phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Assists with activities of daily living and basic nursing skills.
• Supports other care team members and maintains documentation.
• Participates in safety procedures and quality improvement activities.
