Job summary
Legacy Treatment Services in New Jersey is seeking a part-time registered nurse with pediatric/psychiatric experience to support youth care. You will assess youth on admission, administer medications, and document in the Electronic MAR while coordinating with residential staff.
The role includes nurse-led education, attending team meetings, arranging medical appointments, and ensuring charts meet licensing standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ nursing or psychiatric nursing experience.
- Current RN license in New Jersey.
- Experience with children/adolescents.
Responsibilities
- Assess youth upon admission and as needed.
- Administer medication.
- Document in Electronic MAR.
- Provide nurse group education with youths.
- Communicate with residential staff and report care information.
- Document health issues in electronic records.
- Arrange medical appointments for youth.
- Engage with youth during shift.
- Attend nursing/team meetings as scheduled.
- Review charts for licensing compliance.
- Communicate on daily electronic report for each shift.
- Communicate with psychiatrist as needed.
- Train staff for in-services related to youth care.
- Other duties within the scope of professional license.
