Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services in New Jersey is seeking a part-time registered nurse with pediatric/psychiatric experience to support youth care. You will assess youth on admission, administer medications, and document in the Electronic MAR while coordinating with residential staff.

The role includes nurse-led education, attending team meetings, arranging medical appointments, and ensuring charts meet licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ nursing or psychiatric nursing experience.
• Current RN license in New Jersey.
• Experience with children/adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Assess youth upon admission and as needed.
• Administer medication.
• Document in Electronic MAR.
• Provide nurse group education with youths.
• Communicate with residential staff and report care information.
• Document health issues in electronic records.
• Arrange medical appointments for youth.
• Engage with youth during shift.
• Attend nursing/team meetings as scheduled.
• Review charts for licensing compliance.
• Communicate on daily electronic report for each shift.
• Communicate with psychiatrist as needed.
• Train staff for in-services related to youth care.
• Other duties within the scope of professional license.

Job description

Education/Experience:

Minimum of three years’ nursing experience or psychiatric nursing experience. Current Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required. Experience with children/adolescents.
