Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services Group is seeking a part-time registered nurse to support youth in a residential setting. You will assess youth on admission and as needed, administer medications, and document in the Electronic MAR while coordinating with residential staff.

The position involves nursing education for staff, chart reviews, and collaboration with psychiatrists and care teams. Weekend shifts may be required, with part-time benefits including sick time and holiday pay under the agency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ nursing experience or psychiatric nursing experience.
• Current Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required.
• Experience with children/adolescents.

Key responsibilities include:Assessment of youth upon admission and as neededAdministration of medicationDocument in Electronic MAR.Nurse group education with youths.Communicate with residential staff and report information for care of youth.Document health issues in electronic recordArrange medical appointments for the youth.Engage with youth during shift.Attend Team meetings/Nursing meetings as scheduled.Review and audit charts for compliance with Office of Licensing.Communicate on Daily Electronic Report for each shift.Communicate with Psychiatrist as needed.Train staff for in-services as related to care of youth's needs.Other assigned duties, assignments and responsibilities as required under scope of professional license.Hours:Part-time; flexible Monday - Friday; occasional weekend shifts as needed.Part-time benefits include:NJ Earned Sick TimeTime and one half paid on Agency holidaysEducation/Experience:Minimum of three years’ nursing experience or psychiatric nursing experience.
