Job summary

Peace Hospital in Louisville, KY is seeking a Part-time Mental Health Technician II for weekend shifts. You will assist with patient care, monitor vital signs, de-escalate behavior, provide psycho-education, and support activities of daily living under nursing supervision.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of social service experience or 60+ college credits with 1 year of direct patient care, or a Bachelor's in a social services field with related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 2+ years social service experience or 1 year direct patient care.
• 60+ college credits in social services and 1 year direct patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in social services with relevant patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor patient status including vitals and logs.
• De-escalate crises and support coping strategies.
• Lead psycho-educational groups and other unit activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living and unit procedures.
• Report changes in patient condition to nurses.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.
